| Coaches Willie Sutherland - Willie has now coached this team for 5 years. Willie is a coach who enjoys training sessions and is a very passionate coach at games. Rod McFarlane - Rod has been a coach with Cove for over 6 years. He spends most of his spare time either at Cove BC activities or supporting his beloved Aberdeen FC. Squad No Players Name 1. Grant Sim - Simmy. Mr Safe Hands. The only thing Simmy ever drops is in the changing rooms and it comes from his mouth. A keeper that is getting better every single day (he's more wanted than Petrov). You will go long and far to find a better keeper at this age group. Now in his 5th season with Cove BC. 2. Michael Goate � Mikey. Always has a smile on his face - even when he has been tackled by Elvis at training. A great left back that has improved no end over the past few years. Now in his 6th Season with Cove BC. 3. Sean Sutherland - Sudz. Always first at training (wonder why). Loves to win and hates to lose (wonder who he gets that from!). A right back that has also improved over the past couple of years, and a player who likes to play football from the back. One of the smallest in the squad but plays with a huge heart. Now in his 7th Season with Cove BC. 4. Stuart Cuthbert - Stu. Now here is a guy who loves a tackle! Stu always tells the ref he was never late - he got there as quick as he could. A very solid left sided defender, who is very much a team player. Great attitude to the game. Now in his 7th Season with Cove BC. 5. Jonathon Hanvey - Spud. Mr Brave Heart, you will find more scrapes and scratches on spuds legs than you will find in a panel beaters workshop. A central defender who is always willing to learn. A very solid defender who misses very few tackles. Now in his 6th Season with Cove BC. 6. Duncan Ross - Big Dunc. Always smiling, even when his mum is shouting nice "encouragement" from the touch-line to get him going. Once he is going he takes some stopping. A brilliant midfielder who is learning his trade very quickly. A guy with great quick feet. Now in his 5th Season with Cove BC. 7. Kris Riddoch - The Wee Man. New striker recruited at the end of last season. Has already shown a great attitude and work rate, coupled with a cool head in front of goal. First season with Cove BC. 8. Neale Lawson - Elvis. Mr Unflappable. Nothing ever seems to put Elvis up or down, just a quick shrug of the shoulders and he's away again. A very hard working, hard tackling midfield player. A real box to box player. Now in his 5th season with Cove BC. 9.Ryan Hall - Ryzer. The Joker, always winding somebody up (mostly me and Rod!). Always up for a laugh, but is always ready to work hard as well. A forward/midfielder who grafts from the first minute to the last in every game and training session. Scores for fun as well. Now in his 5th season with Cove BC. 10. Scott Heron - Hez. Never a hair out of place and collar turned up � that�s our Scotty. Everybody always makes sure he signs first as they think he is the way to the girls in the future. A left side player who has the most awesome of touches. A very skilful player. Spent a time with Aberdeen FC before moving to bigger and better things with us. Now in his 3rd Season with Cove BC. 11. Dale Newcombe - Speedy, Left sided player who loves to take defenders on. Has great pace and a very sweet left foot, and always delivers very threatening crosses from the left side. Very gifted player, who always gives 100%. Great addition to the squad. First Season with Cove BC. 12. Paul McFarlane - Mr Organised. Paul's kit bag is more organised than a surgeons operating table. A right sided defender who works hard at training and always gives his all at matches. Takes a mean penalty. Now in his 7th season with Cove BC. 14. Craig McKay - Craigie. Just returned to Cove from a spell on the other side (say no more). A player with a very good football mind, and plays the most telling of passes from midfield. Likes to play a passing game. Now in his 2nd season with this Cove BC team. 15. Craig Douglas - Mr Accident. We don't have a medical bag, we just have Craig's bag!! I think Craig somehow gets all the kicks and head knocks for the whole team. A left sided player who has the ability to run forever. Loves to get forward but is always willing to work back. Now in his 7th season with Cove BC. 16. Sean Lawrie - Seany "Twinkle-Toes" Lawrie. Has the greatest of touches in front of goal. A player who loves playing up front but also does a great link up job from the left side of midfield. Now in his 7th season with Cove BC. 17. James Valentine - Jamezie. Smiler - always has a huge smile on his face, even at training! A guy who loves to play, loves to train and is a hard working player at both. James is very much a team player. Now in his 7th season with Cove BC. 18.Lewis Forestter - Lewy(and his bullets) Mr Super Fit, newest signing for Cove BC. A player who is very keen to learn the game, and is doing so very quickly. A strong player who can play either wide right on in the centre of midfield. A great team play who is always at hand to help out a team mate. First season with Cove BC. 19. Iain Milne - Big Iain. Mr Reliable. Always at training and never misses a game, nae even to go and watch the mighty(?) Celtic. A solid central defender who wins lots of balls in the air. A steady player who has to believe in himself. Now in his 7th season with Cove BC. |
