NEW YORK -- "Ally McBeal" fans will say farewell to another character at
the end of the
show's third season. Courtney Thorne-Smith, who plays Ally's co-worker
Georgia, plans to
leave the Fox show to star in her own sitcom next fall, Variety reports.
Thorne-Smith tells the publication she's already receiving scripts for
pilots. Her on-screen
hubby Billy, played by Gil Bellows, also has exit plans. Both characters
were originally
slated to stay only one season.
Creator-producer David E. Kelley says he's planning to introduce two new
characters.
