Notes from Denis Matthews on setting up equipment in the Annexe:

The Graphics DV video machine by the window has two possible settings:

1. Recording TV signals from the Matrix, select AV3 with the input select switch on the front of the DV machine.

2. Recording to and playing from nominated Mac, select DV1 with the input select switch on the front panel. This will also output analogue signals to the TV Control Desk for live play ins.

Final record machine [VHS machine in Camera / Teleprompt Rack]

Select AV3 with the input select switch on the front panel of the VHS machine. The Studio output should appear on the TV monitor above.

Presenter TV Monitor feed is selected by selecting AV3 on the VHS machine below it.

The cable feeding the TV monitor comes from the TV Control Desk Wall box labelled PV [Pre View] and connects to the VHS AV3 Video input on the front panel.

The Presenter Mic input is connected to the local wall box behind the Presenters position labelled Mic 1. This appears on the Control Desk Audio Mixer as Mic 1.

The remote room camera needs to be switched on even if it is not used, this locks the system together.

The remote room table mic is plugged into the wall camera mic in socket.

This mic appears on the control room audio desk as remote room.[fader 1]
