Katie Couric Fans News On Katie Couric The Big Question
When Katie takes the helm on September 5th there is one question that seems to be on everyones minds.
What will the set look like ? Will Katie wear slacks ? Will her legs be visible ? I have this feeling that Katie will not always be stuck behind a desk. I have seen trends with local newscasts to adopt an "Entertainment Tonight" style where the anchors periodically stand next to large screen monitors to introduce stories. CBS has already announced that they will simulcast the broadcast on the web. I strongly suspect that CBS will be updating the presentation of it's news cast to a more contemporary format as well. 2006-08-25 01:58:59 GMT

It is a shame that so many are second guessing what kind of a job Katie will do as a news anchor. She was great on the today and will be great at whatever she does. Go get em Katie......you will do great

I hope that Katie does not fall victim to the 'curse of evening news anchors', which compels them, one and all, to comment on the news, versus reporting the news. We will tune in, now and then, to hear the news; but, we are really not interested in Katie's commentary, any more than we are any other anchor's. Katie can resurrect evening news with reporting.

I stronly suggest that you change your interview guest list...oxy-cotton talk show druggie and self serving Rice did not do your talent justice. Have you lowered your standards. Get a grip..these losers will not help rating...But I still like you..so don't take it personally. If I did not I would not make mention and let you fall.
