I wish you all a very happy new year. A wake up call to all CVG Society members especially if you expect to capture the big prize in June. What's that I hear you say?! Its only January, cold, damp and very very wet. Listen, my club was closed for 10 weeks, but I managed to get out a few times over the Christmas holiday and my eyes were opened by the high scoring. Talk about being quick out of the blocks. One certain member scored over forty points, twice! Another member did break 40 points as well, while I managed to score on all the holes on two occasions, but 37 points put me in third place and lost my money twice, to the one bandit. Now that's an early wake up call! Don't say you weren't warned. Somebody else I know decided to ignore me, especially since he received a new driver and lob wedge for Christmas and couldn't be persuaded out of bed. Another case of the pen being mightier than the sword. I hope he doesn't pay too high a price later on this year.

P.S. I won't tell you the bandits name but his initials are C.M.

Good luck for the new year!!
