| Some people are just meant to be together. Dawson and Joey are the soulmates. The ones that are truly meant to be. And only time will tell how long it takes for them to get back to one another. Soul mates, friends, companions; they're all three. And through all the things they go through, sometimes there's no denying what's there, and in there case...it's called history.
No matter what happens in their lives, Dawson and Joey have always been there. They've supported one another, listened to the other's problems, and found that being soulmates has it's advantages. They never have to worry about being alone...they will always have each other. And sometimes...that's all you ever need. Dawson and Joey have also had their share of problems. At the beginning of everything, Dawson was oblivious to his best friends infactuation over him. After he finally took his head out of the clouds, he realized what was right in front of him the whole time. Joey. Dawson finally kissed Joey, making everyone rejoice with delight. After they began dating, Dawson invaded Joey's privacy by reading her diary. They soon we together again, until an unforseen advisary came into the picture. Jack McPhee kissed Joey, causing her to re-evaluate her relationship with Dawson. Dawson found out, causing them to break-up, but not before they said 'I love you'. Dawson brooded, created a new script about his and Joey's relationship, and Joey soon found out that Jack was gay. Joey's dad arrived back in town, making Joey see that she and Dawson were meant to be. Joey and Dawson again reunited, but there was troubled water ahead. Dawson accidently caught Joey's dad in to his old tricks again. Dawson quickly confronted Mr. Potter, but he says it's hard to stray away from old habits. Dawson then saves Mr. Potter's life by pulling him out of the buring Icehouse. Dawson confides in his parents where they tell him to let Joey know what's happening. Dawson tells Joey that her dad is once again dealing drugs, to which her response was that their relationship wouldn't survive this. Dawson made her realize that it was the right thing to do. Joey then helped the police get her dad. But the fall out turned out to be tramatic for them both. Joey told Dawson that she didn't want to know him anymore. Dawson left to do an internship in Philadelphia at the station his mom worked at. Giving him and her time to think and step back from the whole situation. Joey realized that she wanted him back...Dawson came to the conclusion that he didn't want to get hurt again. Joey goes to see Dawson the same night he has a party at his house and offers herself to him. Dawson, realizing that she'll feel guilty about it later, tells her no. Now was not the time for them. Thus, Joey left, and Dawson sent Pacey to watch out for her. Joey tried to get their friendship back on track. While their relationship isn't what it once was, Dawson has been there, for the most part, when Joey needed him. And it will only be a short time before they find their way back to one another. |
