League Format

The 18 counties, and Ireland and Scotland in the league will be divided into two equal divisions of 10 teams each.

Each team will play every other team both home and away, resulting in each team playing 18 matches.

Each match will be played over 5 days, with both teams having 2 innings, just like an international test match.

Points will be allocated as follows:
15 pts for a win.
10 pts for a tie.
7 pts for a draw.
0 pts for a defeat.

Bonus points can also be earned by the batting and bowling performances of each team in their first innings. These points are allocated as follows:
<150 Batting:0, Bowling:5.
150-225 Batting:1, Bowling:4.
226-300 Batting:2, Bowling:3.
301-375 Batting:3, Bowling:2.
376-450 Batting:4, Bowling:1.
450+ Batting:5, Bowling:0.

At the end of the season, 3 teams will be promoted from Divison 2, and 3 teams will be relegated from Division 1.
