Boarding Program
Country Squire Stable is a unique facility. Versatility is the word that best describes us. We specializes in training, showing and marketing quality Arabian horses, doing business honestly and having old fashioned fun with our horses, our clients and our friends.
Our farm is located on Mt. Baker Hwy just 4 miles from Bellingham and 5 from I-5; close to town with our toes in the country.
*A key asset in rainy Washington is an all weather arena, so we offer a
fully enclosed facility with a 120 by 60 foot arena where riders can
enjoy their horses year round. We are currently building a heated upstairs seating area
so friends and family can comfortably observe.
*Another crucial concept, often overlooked, is a safe common area. Horses
need a place where they can "socialize".
The horses are housed in stalls with
an open front design. This way the horse are free to stick their heads out
and look around at each other instead of being completely cut off from social contact
while in the barn.
*Good flooring is fundamental since horses spend the majority of their time
on their feet. Our stalls are fully matted and the horses are bedded with shavings.
*We also have floatation valve automatic waterers that do not require any action from the horse to
refill the bucket; a lowered water level in the bucket activates the gravity controled valve and
automatically refills the bucket. This assures that even horses not familiar with traditional automatic waterers
receive plenty of fresh water.
*We also offer a tack room with individual lockers.
*Our warm water wash rack has a concrete floor with cross ties, and we have a separate cross tie tacking up area
located close to the tack room.
*Since the popularity of natural horsemanship techniques
has moved some owners to
desire the use of a round pen, we have a 60 foot roundpen contructed of PVC vinyl fencing conveniently located
adjacent to the barn.
*Turn outs are approximately 1 acre suitable for 1-2 horses and for safety, all horse fences are constructed of PVC vinyl
3-rail fencing or a high visibility 1 1/2" tape electric fencing.
*We also have miles of trails that are accessible from right off the property so that there is a fun alternative to
arena riding without the inconvienence of hauling out.
We only offer full care board and in addtion to the
ammenities already listed, our services also include:
* Feeding your choice of hay and grain twice a day.**
* Turnout daily in grazing pasture.**
* Full use of the indoor arena and the round pen.
* Blanket and flymask application and removal as needed for stalling and turnout.
**Any "special" turnout or feeding services need to be negotiated at contract signing.**
