I was just making up the list for the Country Saints webpage of the best and worst gas mileage cars and stumbled across this story on "Talk of the Town" and just had to post it...
Three suspected robbers go to a home where two of them had been before. They have "intimate knowledge" of this home, according to police, since they are suspected to have robbed it seven months earlier. The homeowner is a gun collector and used to be a firearms dealer. The suspected robbers must know there are guns in the house.
But still, according to police reports, they go to the house, where they know the homeowner is home, and ring the doorbell. Then announce loudly "home invasion" upon entering. The homeowner grabs a gun sitting on the table next to him and fires away. One suspect dies and a second is paralysed.
Were the suspects trying to commit suicide, or just not thinking clearly?
