| Daniel is doing great, getting taller and skinnier! He's running off what little baby fat he had left, if ANY, and we're actually going down in sizes for his pants instead of up!! His imagination is working full fledge, all the time! He loves to pretend he's a transformer or a pirate. If it's a pretty day than we are outside! He is enjoying helping Daddy in the garden this year. Who knows where some seeds will pop up, since he doesn't necessarily always keep the seeds in the rows!! We've just about finished our Before Five In A Row curriculum, with only a few hard to find books left. He's really enjoyed all that we have done. He's become so observant! For the rest of the spring/summer, we plan on finishing up our alphabet letters/recognition, and by September, we'll have covered all of the letters. September is our estimated time to begin phonics with him, and from the signs he's showing right now ("Mom, what's that letter? What's that say?") I think he'll be ready. He likes to practice writing. He LOVES to draw! He's my little artist! For the summer, though, we're just having fun with letters, and enjoying the great outdoors. He has a birthday in July. He'll be four, and he's already asking for a "Pirate" birthday...and if you know me, you know I'll have to deliver!!! Of course what he asks for is bound to change between now and then, but who knows? Anybody got a good treasure chest cake recipe just in case? |
