My, oh, my, it seems like so much has happened since I last did anything with this website.  Where to begin?  I had some pretty rough back troubles starting back in November.  It was severe lower back pain/sciatica pain, and I went through all the regular procedures; meds that made me sick, physical therapy that only helped for a temporary relief, chiropractic that was a bit too rough, and finally, many prayers later, I was introduced to NUCCA.  NUCCA is a form of chiropractic that is very, very gentle and focuses on one part of your body, the atlas at the base of your spine.  I have been going to a NUCCA doctor since the end of February and right now, I feel like my old self again!  I was on the path to surgery had we not found this doctor.

What else am I doing?  Well, other than being a mommy, which happens to be a full-time job, as I teach them and just plain enjoy them, I am still scrapbooking, and my new project is quilting.  I am currently putting together squares for a quilt for Avery.  I wouldn't turn it in to the county fair, or even a Home Ec. teacher as far as that goes, but hey, I get an A for effort right??  Also, this summer, as our garden veggies ripen, I plan on canning. I canned some green beans last year, but I'm hoping to add tomatoes, salsa, and pickles to that this summer.

I'm also busy looking at catalogs and such, deciding on different curriculums or things I will be doing with Daniel in the fall.  I think I've just about figured it out.  Our main focus is going to be learning to read, but here's what my 'school list' consists of:

Teach Your Child To Read in 100 Easy Lessons

Five In A Row Volume 1

Singapore Math Workbook K

It's all great fun for me!  I love what I've been called to do, and I wouldn't have it any other way!  After being down in my back, it made me appreciate all of these things so much more!
Getting Loves from my babies...can't ever get too much!!!
It's such a joy to watch a love for books and learning unfold in my children.  I count it an unspeakable blessing to be able to stay home with them.  My prayer is that God just fill me with His Grace, which is ever so sufficient, to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
