My Favorite Local Fish Stores |

| One of my favorite local fish stores is Tropical Fish Depot. It is located at 10150 Almeda Genoa Rd in Houston Texas. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and friendly. I especially like their prices on feeder fish such as rosy reds, godlfish, brine shrimp, and ghost shrimp. They also have a selection of frozen foods. Their selection of fish is large and high quality. They carry both saltwater, and freshwater fish. If you are in the area, go by and check them out. I'm sure you will be just as pleased! Another of my regular stops is Fish and Pets Ranch. It is located at 10100 Kleckley Dr Ste 13 in Houston Texas. The prices on fish are unbelievably low. I really enjoy looking through their selection. They have good prices on their rosy reds, and goldfish feeders also.I however don't recommend purchasing aquarium filters from this store as the price is too high. I made the mistake of purchasing a Rena Filstar XP3 canister filter from them which was priced at $299.99. They had it marked 30% off. I thought "Hey this is a great deal, their fish are much cheaper than everyone else's." Little did I know you can get this same filter for $179.99 or less. I still enjoy purchasing fish from this store, and the owner seems very nice, but the filter was way over-priced. Still if you are looking for inexpensive, and sometimes unusual fish, this is the place to go. Click on the link below for a map of the area. |
