I am a self taught artist who enjoys painting country scenes of all kinds. I have a special appreciation for old homes, barns, and country stores that seem to be vanishing from the landscape around us. By painting these subjects I hope to somehow preserve part of the past. I also enjoy painting coastal scenes and boats.

I use acrylic and watercolor paint for what I call a "translucent" effect. I prefer watercolor paper but I also use masonite and canvas board. My technique is never quite the same on any two paintings... I just try to "paint what I see".
