Balquhidder & Lochearnhead

(Map from UK Multi Media Map Site)

The Balquhidder Parish is the traditional home of the MacLAREN clan.

This present church, built by David Carnegie of Stronvar, was opened in September 1855.

The ruined church bearing the date 1631, was built by David Murray, Lord Scone,
partly on top of the pre-Reformation Church,
which dates perhaps to the 13th century or earlier!!
