Geography
Thailand covering an area of 514,000 square kilometres,lies in the heart of Southeast Asia. The area is devided into four regions :
1.The North is marked by forested moutains.
2.The Fertile Central Plains,with many rivers.
3.The high plateau of the Northeast is relatively dry.
4. The peninsula South flanked by the two seas.
Climate
Thailand lies within the humid tropics and depending a length of 1,650 kilometres from North to South make the climate difference. In winter time in the North and Northeast can be very cold while in the south it stays warm all year.
We has 3 distinct seasons-Summer from March to May, Rainny Season From June to September, and cold Season from October to February.
The temperature is always high during the day even if it is a cold season,except in the mountain that could be cold all day long.
Capital City
The national Capital City is Bangkok, or "Kroong-Theb" in Thai.
Monarchy
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej is the ninth king of the Chakri Dynasty.Thai people have a deep and traditional reverence for the Royal Family.Our King and Queen devote much of their time to improve the welfare of the people.
