Mansford is a very sweet 11 year old male red stag. He was picked up at PAWS (Paris Animal Welfare Shelter) in Paris, KY outside of Lexington. Mansford was brougth into our home shortly after having 11 year pulled and being neutered. He was having a hard time at first. When we received him we found out that he was suffereing from Kennel Cough. This is like pneumonia in people. It affects dogs in the same way that pneumoni affects humans. After a 10 day treatment, Mansford was still coughing quite a bit. We took him to our vet to be checked over from head to toe. It was discovered that he has an enlarged heart that is causing him to cough quite a bit. He also has a collapsed trachea which should not cause any problems later in life. As you can see from the pics of him that he is a spoile rotten baby. All he wants to do is lay on top of you and get rubs
UPDATE 12-25-2005: Mansford has been adopted by a great loving family: OURS. He is our third Foster Failure since beginning IMPS in 2003. |
