Kaci & Chessy are the two sweetest young women you could ask for. When they were surrendered to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society it was said that they were litter mates that were bonded and they had to stay together. They were said to be 8 years old. Chessy is blind due to untreated cataracts. Even thought it was said that they were a bonded pair, we have learned while having them that this in not necessairly the case. Cheesy does just fine with out Kaci & vice versa. It was told to us that Kaci helped Chessy get around and at first she might but we have never really noticed that she takes to that roll much. Kaci looks to have been abused before coming to us. She cowards down from any woman that wants to touch her but loves attention from the men. She will run around scared to death. She also has a food bowl agression. She does not want anyone near her dish when she is eating. She has not growled at us but has growled at the other dogs. These girls are totally sweet and just want someone to love them.
Update 01-06-05 - Kaci passed onto the Rainbow Bridge in her sleep. She was doing her favorite thing, guarding the food dish by laying beside it. Chessy is upset now and wishes she knew what happened to her sister. Love & Hugs & Kisses Chessy, we still love you. Rest In Peace Kaci, I know in my heart we made your last two months the most precious ones you had your entire life.
Update 01-08-05 - Chessy was adopted by a great couple of women. They had fostered both the girls while they were at the shelter in Bowling Green and were very upset that they had to give them up. Once they found out that Kaci had passed away, they were very adament that Chessy have a loving family where she could recover from losing her sister and live out her life. The last thing we heard from them on 01-25-05 was that they were taking her to see an eye specialist in Nashville TN about the possiblity of having the cataracts removed from her eyes.
