Ty Herndon

Well, the concert was great! . This was Jamie's last concert in St. Louis (at least for a while!), since she left the next morning to move to Minneapolis, MN. We got there about 6:30. I brought the Country Weekly I got in the mail so we had something to do while we waited. We got some dinner. The DJ played two songs we love..... David Kersh's "If I Never Stop Loving You" and Ricochet's "Rowdy". Then about 8:45 or so, Booker (KIX DJ) came on stage, and introduced the opening act...(we didn't eve know there was going to be one!).... Brad Hawkins. Jamie hadn't heard of him, but I had heard his name before, but none of his music. Well, he was wonderful! He's cute too! <G> He had on a tight black t-shirt and tight (and I mean TIGHT) black jeans. Here are some of the songs he did....not sure if I got all the titles right: "We Lose" (the current single), "I'm the One"? (I think he said this will be the next single), a Brooks and Dunn song "Whiskey Under the Bridge", "Driving Under the Influence of Love", "Come Back to Me Blues", "I Wanna Get Lost" (first he talked about doing some Preaching...).... this song had great harmonies!, "Bad Case of Loving You", "Simply Irresistible", and "Bony Mony". I'm sure I missed some of them! He played about 45 minutes. He signed after..... only bad thing was they did not organize it at all..... people were just walking up, cutting in line, etc. We both bought the single (it has "We Lose" and "Come Back to Me Blues" on it), and a picture for him to sign. We each got our picture with him. Something was already written on my picture, which I hadn't noticed. He was like "What's This?" It was liked it was one he had started to write "To (Somebody)" on, and then didn't for some reason. So, he went and got me a new one. I asked him when the full album will be out, and he said June. We can't wait! If you get the chance, go see him. He's not only cute, but has a great voice, and great stage presence.

About 10:15 Ty Herndon came on. Booker introduced again... we were proud of him......he didn't slur any words this time! Ty wore a white long-sleeved shirt and starched black jeans... (the Neal McCoy look....but not quite as tight as Neil's!). He played about and hour and 15 minutes or so. Maybe a little longer.. Didn't pay close attention... poor baby had a cold. Here's are the songs (most of them I think!) That he did: "Sittin' On Top of the World", "Girls Down South", "I Have to Surrender", "It Must Be Love"?, "Half Empty of Half Full"?, "Loved Too Much", he talked about an album titled "Tribute to Tradition" that artists on his label will have songs on (only one I can think of off hand is Collin Raye), of songs they grew up on..... he did his... "One of These Days" ? (not sure of the title), "Love is Waiting", "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" (really got crowd going on this one), his new single "A Man Holding On to a Woman Letting Go", then he said "We're gonna go to Church Honky Tonk Style" and went in to "Returning the Faith", "What Matters Most", "I Want My Goodbye Back", "She Wants to Be Wanted Again"..he said this one goes out to all the married women, "Living in a Moment", and the last song, he went over to the drums and got a black hat, and went into "You Can Leave You're Hat One", which was wonderful! Then for an encore, he did "Brick House", country style! It was great! But the whole time, all I could picture was Kurt Browning skating his program to it!

He was going to sign, so we got in line...but by 10 to 12, he still wasn't up there...and we were not near the front of the line, so we left. I had about a half hour-45 min. drive home, and Jamie had to get up early to leave, and drive to MN........ oh well! Maybe at Fan Fair....

Only had 3 complaints about the while night...... during Brad, there was this photographer walking around... of course the people at the table in front of us got 2 or 3 taken, so the lady was in our way the whole time. Then during Ty's "You Can Leave Your Hat On", the girl in front of me got up to dance, and totally blocked my view. The other thing was during Ty, they had the guitars up way to loud, to the point where they just don't sound real good. Oh one more.... they place was NOT crowded at all! I guess being a Thursday......... the gold seating area wasn't even full. After Brad, the guys checking wrist bands weren't even there... guess since there was room, they didn't care who went up there.

This page is under construction, so I only have the pictures of Brad up so far..... I'll have the ones of Ty as soon as I can!
