InCahoots

Jamie and I got their at about 6:30 or so. Finally found some seats that were ok. I was going to take pictures, but we didn't have good enough seats. Guys would have loved what she was wearing........ a shirt, of which I can't remember the colors, and tight black leather pants and vest. She is just too darn cute! Love her hair. She came on a little bit after 9pm. The show was just under an hour. They announced, before the show, that she would be signing autographs afterwards. I had gone out to the Used CD store, because I thought I had seen her album there before. They didn't have it....so, I went to Blockbuster Music........they had one copy. So, I brought that with me. She started with one of my favorite songs on the first album, "On a Wing and a Prayer". In no particular order, she did "You're not in Kansas Anymore", "Do You Wanna Make Something Of It", "Heads Carolina, Tails California" (the DJ's when introducing her, made a point of saying that Garth Brooks said this was his favorite song), "Walk to the Light", Bonnie Rait's "The Thing Called Love" (REALLY good), "Even God Gets the Blues" (I think that is the title- she said she has done this for about 2 years, and thanks to people calling and writing letters, it is going to be on the new album, and that she cried that first time she heard it, and does every time she sings it- very pretty song), And from the new album, "I'm Alright" (title cut), and she ended (appropriately) with "Bye, Bye". She was very energetic on stage.

We got in line, and Jamie bought a picture for her to sign. I handed her the CD, said I loved the show, , and she asked if I just got it(the CD).. I said yes, and then she asked where I found it. I couldn't remember for a second (even though I just bought it that afternoon!) I finally remembered- Blockbuster Music. She said it is hard to find, because they stopped shipping it. (I was surprised!). She signed it, and then we went to take the

picture. Well, her manager I guess it was, took it It has three flashes.....guess I should have warned them. Before the third flash, she started to move. She went to put her arm around me again, to take another, and the guy said only one picture! She said "I was going like this (demonstrated), but I was still smiling!". And she said she was sorry. She was so sweet!!!

We can't wait till the album "I'm Alright" comes out--- March 17th, St. Patrick's Day!

She definetly gets our seal of approval!!!

Mom and I left about 4:20, and got there in an hour. We found a spot with enough room for 2 lawn chairs, pretty close up front. If they were in real rows, I'd say no more than 10 rows back. Only thing was, we couldn't see the steel players from where we were. Speaker in the way.

It turned out to be a beautiful day. We thought it would be horrible, with it being in the 90's. But, there was a breeze, clouds kept going over the sun. We didn't even need the SqeezeBreeze fan! We read while we waited. The guy introducing them said they would both sign after the shows.

Jo Dee came on right on time, at 8:30. She played for exactly an hour! I thought since she was opening, it would be 30-45 minutes. She was great! She started out with "Satisfied", then "I Know a Heartache When I See One", "You're Not in Kansas Anymore", and "Silver Thunderbird". Then she says she's going to tell a little story. She said God must have a sense of humor, because you could fill a football field with single men, and she'd pick the wrong one. Then she went into "No Time for Tears", then "I'm Alright", and then the band left the stage, except the keyboard player, and the did "Even God Must Get the Blues". She talked about Ricochet, and asked if we were ready for them. Her comment on the guys...... "I've never seen so many good looking guys on one stage before". Next was "Stand Beside Me", "Heads Carolina", and "Lesson in Leavin'". Then she introduced her band. I was waiting for this...... because before the show, I saw this guy walking behind the fence that I swore was in Steve Wariner's band. Well, he was! She introduced Alan Love (I think that's his last name) as their newest band member, the steel player, who just played with Steve Wariner for 13 years, I think she said. Then she did some Gloria Estefan, with "Get on Your Feet", where she even played a little drums. Then she ended appropriately with "Bye, Bye". She was great. She got the crowd on their feet at the end, and was just having a great time up there!

(See my Ricochet page for a review of their show)

The signing went so fast.  Her manager took my shirt, got it ready for her, handed it to her, she signed it.  Then I said hi, and we took a picture, and that was it.  Oh well.  I know it wasn't her....so no hard feelings toward Jo Dee!
