KIXFEST '99

Riverport Amphitheatre

St. Louis, MO

Well, they started the concert at 6pm, with Chely Wright, Montgomery Gentry, Doung Stone, and FINALLY :) Collin, who came on at 10:30. Unfortunatly, they had a curfew of 11:30, so we didn't get his full show. Between acts, I forget who, the DJ's found this girl in the audience, and asked if she knew where her boyfriend had been for the last 45 minutes, when he left for the bathroom. Well, they brought him out on stage. They had working it out so he could propose to her on stage. It was so sweet! He was almost crying!

Collin.......... the god of country music, and my friends and I like to call him. He wa so incredible. I had 3rd row center seats. He left out a few, beacuse of the time limit, such as 11th Commandment, Extremes, and One Boy One Girl. He opened with "Anyone Else", and also did, in no particluar order, "I Think About You", "Little Rock", "That's My Story", "My Kind of Girl", "I Want You Bad", "Not That Different", "Little Red Rodeo", "I Can Still Feel You", "Someone You Used to Know", "Start Over Georgia", "What if Jesus Came Back Like That", and he ended with "Forever Young", then came back and did a rock song, can't remember what, then "Love, Me". I should have incredible pictures!

Collin wore blue jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, and a St. Louis Cardinals jersey with "Raye 1065" on the back. I assume a gift from KIX..... they know he is a huge Cards fan!

I also found out from a friend at the Cardinals game that day, that Collin was at the game. He was on the field and introduced, and waved to everyone. No anthem. I;m sure he had a great time, as the Cards ripped apart the Astros.. YEAH! :)
