9:30 pm show
I went with 3 friends. We got there about 9 pm, and got in line to get in.
We had great seats, 9th row, all the way on the left. First was the opening
act, Northern Lights, who we saw when we went there to see Ricochet last
year. They are pretty good.
Bryan was only on a little over an hour. He wore tight black jeans, and a
long-sleeved black shirt, untucked.
I was dissapointed that he didn't start with "Signed, Sealed, Delivered".
He started with "Love is the Right Place", "Sittin' On Go", and then they
kept playing, and teasing us, and started singing something, called "Somebody's
Kockin' on the Door", and went in to "Rebecca Lynn". He talked about
how much he likes coming there, and this was the third time he's played there.
Next they did "The Natural Thing", then "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore".
I think this is the point the band left, and it was just him out there. He
did part of "What Did I Do to Deserve You", then "Look at Me Now", and "Southern
Nights". All of a sudden he turns around, looks behind him in both directions,
and goes "They're Gone!". Too cute! =) He said April for the new album. He
said he was going to do a song off of it, and I figured it would be "You're
Still Beautiful to Me", but he did a different one, possibly called "One
Love That's True". Not sure. Then he said how he likes doing with, with just
the guitar, cause we get to see if it's really him or Memorex. He said Milli
Vanilli, and sang a line of "Girl You Know It's True". People kept yelling
out "We Love You Bryan". Got to be really anoying! Several people yelled
out "When are you getting married?" He just ignored them. Go Bryan! Then
he did "From This Moment On", and had us sing Shania's part. He did a bit
of "Blindhearted". He sang a line or two of "As Long as You Love Me" or
something....can't remember. It's more like I can't read my writing! It was
dark, after all! Then he brought up theis little girl, and sat down on the
stage with herr. (There are steps leading up to center stage). He asked her
name, and goes "So what do you do?" He's like, "I'm Kidding!" Then he brought
her little sister up too. Asked if they like Disney, and asked the older
girl, Shanna, I think, to hold his mic for me, and he sang "When You Wish
Upon a Star". It was so sweet! They were at the M&G, and he took so much
time with them, looking through all of Shanna's scrapbook with her,.
I think they band came back at this point, and did "Bad Day to Let You Go".
Then Bryan goes this next one is "Something About a Star". They ended with
"So Much for Pretending".
It was a great show! We then had to wait for the M&G. One of my friends
didn't have a pass, so she went out to the car to wait. They had to get everyone
out first. Then they had us sit in the rows. They had people woth other passes
go first. We were pretty close to the end. Brinson was there, but left before
we got up there. Derek too. The bus driver was there too. I forget his name.
He was cool! I went first, then Carla, then Jeb. He wore a grey sweatshirt,
blue jeans, and his glasses. He sat on the top of the steps. It was really
relaxed.
I went up and sat next to him. Told him my name, and while he sigend my CD
cover, he asked me if I enjoyed the show. Of course I said yes! I asked him
if he recorded "Talk to her Heart" with Steve Wariner, and he said yes, and
"How'd you know that?" I told him I was at Steve' FC Party, and asked him
if they had plans on recording to gether. He told me it will be on his next
album, and also said Derek played guitar on it. He seemed really excited
about that! He said he thinks it will be out in April. I also asked if they
had any plans to tour together, and he said hopefully, but sometimes things
happen, but they hope to this year. I said cool, I hope so.I said thanks,
and goodbye. Carla went next, and he asked who was on her shirt, and she
dais Buffy, and he said something like "Oh, Buffy the vampire Slayer", or
Buffy the Slayer, or somethign like that. After her and Jeb, I asked the
bus driver if we could get a picture with all three of us. He said sure,
and Bryan came down off the steps so we could. He was so sweet!
It was probubly almost 1:30 when we left. Then we went back to the motel,
ate some snacks, and chatted a while. Didn't get to sleep until almost 3!
But it was well worth it!
