| A student is in level 2 or 3 and is behind the group. �What can I do to improve?� 1. listen to the book�s tape and write each sentence. Listen to one sentence, stop the tape, write the sentence, continue to the next sentence. After 20 sentences, look at the book to see the words. 2. Listen and watch the video about Beautiful and Ugly (the 13 vowel sounds of English) 3. Record the radio show �Savvy Traveler� on WLRN 91.3 FM. Saturday, 12 noon. Go to the website at ww.savtrav.com and print the stories (and read the sentences with the recording.) 4. Look at a Picture Dictionary and learn families of words 5. Look at Vocabulary in Use and learn families of words. 6. Look at the red book (Grammar in Use) and do two pages every day. If the student is Level 4 5 or 6, then the following materials are helpful: All Clear (Idioms and common expressions) Raising the Issues For the Business Student The above tape exercises are important for the student Let�s speak Business English There is a cassette tape called �English for Management, Accounting and Computers.� It is a good dictation exercise. Suggestion: Do this AFTER Let�s speak Business English. There is a course called International Business (a textbook and cassettes) by Leo Jones. The course set is in TALK school.
