| Kevin A. Gobrecht, 30, of 4423 York Road, New Oxford, died Saturday in Greenwood Neb. He was the companion of Bobbi Myers. A memorial service will be 8 p.m. Thursday at New Oxford Social Club Pavillion, West Golden Lane, New Oxford. Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family. Viewings will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Felser Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, and 6 to 8 pm.m Thursday at the Social Club Pavilion. Mr. Gobrecht was born May 2, 1969, in Hanover. He was the son of Robert L. and Kathy M. (Griffin) Gobrecht, 25 Dogwood Court, New Oxford, and Keith Long and Donna (Haverstock) Gobrecht Long, 31 Brandy Court, Hanover. He was the driver of Amoco Car 93, owned by Hylton-Blaney Motorsports. He was a 1987 graduate of New Oxford High School; a 1992 graduate of Millersville University, and a member of New Oxford Social and Athletic Club, York County Racing Club, Allstar Circuit of Champions, World of Outlaws, Checkered Flag Fan Club, and Republican club in Hanover. He won more than 100 GoKart races throughout the Eastern and Southern U.S. from 1977 to 1991 and more than 100 Micro-Sprint races,, including the Coors National Open, from 1992 to 1994; was named Lincoln (PA)Sportsman of the Year by Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown and National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in 1995; was the replacement driver for Jac Haudehnschild in the Elden Racing 22 on the World of Outlaws tour and competed in four events, including a third place finish in the Amoco Knoxville Nationals make-up feature in 1996; drove Stauffer's Apple Chevrolet Car and won the Jack Gunn Memorial at Williams Grove Speedway in 1997; won his first World of OUtlaws Feature at Williams Grove Speedway and the Kenny Weld Memorial at Lincoln Speedway in 1998; won the All-Star Circuit of Champions Feature at Volusioa Speedway Park, Williams Grove Speedway's "Early Bird Championship" and the Historical Big One at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg Ohio in 1999; debuted in the National Sprint Car Pole with a national rankng of fifth in April 1999; and placed third at Knoxville Nationals, Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville, Iowa in 1999. Mr. Gobrecht also is survived by maternal grandparents, Blanche Green of MeSherrystown and Donald Haverstock of Daytona Beach, Fla; paternal grandparents, John and Jen Gobrecht of Hanover, ' two brothers, Scott Gobrecht of Hanover and Brian Gobrecht of New Oxford; as sister, Tiffany A. Gobrecht of New Oxford, and a nephew.
