Founded in 1993, the National Council for a Republican Congress is dedicated to building grassroots support across the nation for the conservative political movement and promoting citizen involvement in public policy processes. NCRC also works to formulate, communicate, and disseminate perspectives on current policy issues that are grounded in the traditional Republican Party ideals of limited government, individual freedom, and personal responsibility. NCRC supports reducing the size and scope of government domestically and the positive projection of American economic, political and military power abroad. Working with its distinguished Honorary Advisors who are among the nation's most influential conservative Republican leaders, NCRC actively monitors legislation on Capitol Hill and seeks to inform the public about issues before Congress. Most importantly, NCRC generates grassroots and financial support for Republican congressional candidates. The strength of NCRC lies in its membership, comprised of energetic young conservative leaders and accomplished advisors who have joined forces to advance the conservative Republican agenda. As a member, you will not only receive timely information on public policy issues, but also have the opportunity to serve on NCRC committees and interact with NCRC's Honorary Advisors. To promote this interaction, NCRC invites all members to its conferences, leadership seminars and meetings featuring distinguished NCRC Advisors such as President Gerald Ford, President George H. W. Bush, Vice President Dan Quayle, U.S. Senator Jesse Helms, U.S. Senator Trent Lott, House Speaker Dennis Hastert, legendary actor and NRA Chairman Charlton Heston, and Former Education Secretary William Bennett. We look forward to seeing you at the Fairmont in Dallas as we celebrate the many Republican successes in 2000 and chart a course for the Republican Party to be America's permanent majority party.
