Why is the US etc. Getting Involved
In Quarrels Between the Semites

The good old Aleister Crowley observed that as soon as you begin to understand the conflict between the Jews and the Arabs you begin thoroughly to sympathise with both sides (as I recall it, his form might be slightly different).

This much I for one have understood so far (which is not much).

One possible reason, as one can infer from the literature seen, may be that Israel is an ally of the USA.

One problem with that idea may be that it has been promoted by some clearly corrupt writers.1 If Israel is to be an ally of the USA then some Jewish organizations had better made sure that such propositions are being made by authors who would not discredit them.

So far, one is confronting a maze of information or disinformation the sense of this all being nowhere apparent. In today's edition of the Los Angeles Times I find some news which do not quite add up on the face of it.

Is It Some Israel-Denyers

'.. a third conflict in the Middle East in addition to those in Iraq and Afghanistan would be "extremely stressful"' ("Military steps up criticism of Iran" by Julian E. Barnes, LA Times, Saturday, Apr 26, 2008, p. A1).

That is said to be a (possible) a "third" conflict, in addition to those in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The original conflict in the Middle East has been between the Jews and the Arabs. How was this authors addition ? counting some three (possible) conflicts and not counting the mother of all conflicts there — from all appearances. Why has that been forgotten by the author in his computations ?

Why should Iran want to Meddle in Iraq

Somebody says that somebody is "working to destabilise Iraq".

But why ? Is there any reason ? What would be the reason, then ?

Is Somebody Trying to Create a New Conflict in the Area

"On Friday, the top uniformed officer in the U.S., Navy Adm. Michael G. Mullen, accused Iran in a televised news etc."

"The comments by Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, came days after angry complaints by Army Gen. David H. Petraeus and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates.

Now, I am still waiting for an explanations, WHY should Iran want to destabilise anything in the area.

If there be any danger indeed : then let no writers bemuddle the issues even more.
