A 2-nd Order Deception

The term 'gay' had been corrupted, in the main in the 1950's — as a noun it now sometimes terms a 'poofter' (I owe this knowledge to a noted publicist, as in an interview by the New York Times some more than a decade ago or so).

The loss need not be irretrievable — but only provided that the linguistic issues — which are not fundamentally difficult — be taken some notice of.

By my own reading a new and, admittedly "cute" deception can be presently seen in the American newspapers : the 'gay marriage'.

The cute part may be in that there can be a gay marriage, one that is 'full of or disposed to joy and mirth; manifesting or characterized by joyous mirth; light-hearted, exuberantly cheerful, sportive, merry' ; (although that has hardly been uniform in what has hitherto been undertaken by men and women within that institution which in the English language is usually called 'marriage').

Anyone who would be drawn into (more and more extensive) 'discussion' over corruptions of these terms is falling prey to some specialists — who can have ulterior motives which might have nothing to do with the subject of this (as it seems deliberately manufactured) controversy.

By the way : can this have something to do with the marxist-leninist programs of undermining "imperialism" — by any and every possible means ?

This is not my thesis. (I do not know it all and I do not know anyone who does). This might be true of some cases and might be untrue of some other cases. It would seem to fit a pattern — it seems to me that this was true of some authors. The inclosed bibliographic item (below) would imply the presence (though not preponderance) of just that factor.

Then, any criminal party might find it convenient, this or that kind of sources of chaos being present.

On my personal inquiry, on two separate occasions, not one of the three ('not checked out') copies of the text could be found.

Not for the 'specialists'

Leaving such questions as, who exactly does exactly what with exactly whom, etc. :

This issue should not be disregarded in so far as preventing any corruptions of language from making their ways into any legislation anywhere.

Some damage has already been allowed to occur in that respect. Please note : This has nothing to do with some special party's "rights" — other than any rights granted by the U.S. Constitution (in the US) to any individual whose personal safety or property, etc., are already protected by that document. There are also the "other rights not otherwise enumerated".

As a matter of common-sense reading the other rights 'not otherwise enumerated' would admit assertions by any person or party of the right to not being exposed to public education stupefaction campaigns of the sort.

Telling the public that this is "just like" that in these cases has been practically criminal, in terms of the reader's of a newspaper being defrauded by false 'content' for which he (or she) has actually paid (usually about 50 cents in the Los Angeles area where I live).

Class-action suit, anybody ?
