How many.
Under 'being' in the Index of 'History and Spirit' by Joel Kovel one finds five (5) categories, neatly separated. One also finds 'being-over', this would make six (6) categories altogether of 'being' (but this 'being-over' is given very little space).
How about the Ego. Whether one 'has' such a thing or not, there are five (5) categories of Ego disinguished in the mentioned text, neatly separated by way of paragraphing in the Index.
At last, the self. How many of you are there, the reader ? However you do the reckoning, four (4) separate categories of 'self' are found in the Index of the mentioned book (neatly separated).
Do you know by now how to get schizophrenia, the reader ? (I do not see anyone would really want any such a thing, perhaps this article might contribute a little to some general understanding of the sorts of problem).
The term means 'split' (schizo) 'mind' (phrenos). Whatever the exact 'phrenos' be, the splitting has been done very thoroughly in this text, and obviously with a great deal of attention to the detail.
