Some notes from and on Rule by Secrety, Jim Marrs, New York, 2000
Page 188, the sinking of Lusitania, mentioned is the piece by William himself (I think the author was) — advising the Americans not to travel on ships of Great Britain or her allies, which was to be printed as an advertisement in the American newspapers.

Mr. Jim Marrs blames the U.S. State Department officials for having cowed editors by claiming that, due to the possibilities of libel suits, they should first obtain approval by State Department lawyers.

This seems highly improbable. One question of the matter was, what did William have to say about what ships are the Americans using for traveling. It seems it did not occur to William that his (whoever really penned it) advertisement was no excuse for the subsequent destruction of Lusitania.

Mr. Marrs states that the President was alerted to the situation. Then, what exactly situation was the President alerted to? There were difficult situations occurring daily at the period.

Says Mr. Marrs, Years later, author Simpson wrote, There can be no doubt that President Wilson was told of the character of the cargo destined for Lusitania, etc. etc.

It is not clear to me what all this had to do with the cargo. The Lusitania was sunk together with over 1,000 passengers, many of them American — and cannot form a notion of what exactly is Mr. Marrs trying to prove.

. . . . British commander Joseph Kenworthy, on duty when the ship was sunk, later revealed . . . etc.

Next paragraph : x and y concluded author Simpson — who, in turn blamed Winston Churchill for the Lusitania disaster. I cannot get it.

Survivors and later investigations revealed that etc. etc. I cannot get any of this.
