"Motivating Young People to Be Better Citizens" is what we live by here
at Crisp County High School. The Cougar Battalion of Crisp County High
School takes great pride in its motto. The instructors, MAJ Lloyd, SFC Cooper, and SFC Marsh, teach the Cadet Corps leadership skills, map
reading, strategies, first aid and safety precautions, goal setting,
citizenship skills, foundations for success, proper physical fitness
exercises, and uniform inspection procedures, which complacently are the
tactics needed to conquer life's hardships. SFC Cooper instructs the
first-year cadets, while SFC Marsh teaches the second-year cadets. This
year, in total, we have one hundred seventeen cadets. Our cadets are
vary prominent inside of JROTC. They strived to be the best of the best
and they have proven to be, according to the status we have earned. We
have maintained the title of Honor Unit With Distinction for thirteen
years thus far in our journey and plan to hold on to such a prestigious
label. Not only do our cadets stay active inside the classroom, they
also join extracurricular activities. This year's group of cadets are
very diverse in nature; some are on drill team and color guard, while
others compete on our raider and rifle teams, all of which have won
several region and state championships. In our program we teach the key
to success is teamwork, weather a cadet is on a team or not. So as you
can see the JROTC program is living up to its mission, which is...
