An American Couple (Melvin and Phyllis) and I became friends at the Recife airport in Brazil.... when we were in a lightning storm above Salvador, couldn't land, and they flew us to the airport in Recife where we stayed in a hotel .......our trip was delayed for 24 hours.... and I was the only person on the aircraft, at the airport, and in the hotel who could speak English and a little Português....a definite challenge for using my Português and I translated for Melvin and Phyllis also......not the most pleasant experience of my trip!!!!!

Um casal americano (Melvin e Phyllis) e eu nos tornamos amigos no aeroport de Recife no Brasil.... quando nós estavamos em uma tempestade sobrevoando Salvador,não podiamos aterrisar, e a companhia aérea nos enviou para o aeroporto de Recife onde ficamos em um hotel... nossa viagem foi atrasada em 24 horas... e eu era a única pessoa no avião, no aeroporto e no hotel que falava inglês e um pouco  de português... foi realmente um grande desafio usar meu pobre português e eu traduzi tudo na medida do possível para Melvin e Phyllis... não foi a experiência mais prazerosa de minha viagem!!!
