AWA 9 Report
Sorry, no pictures. Forgot my camera this year. The only pic I got was one of myself a con friend emailed me.

Saturday - Got up, got on the costume, drove to meet my other friends with the carpool. We drove down to Atlanta and got to the con around 11 Am. Five minutes after coming through the door, I got my first person ever to ask to take my picture. Very happy.
   Found: 1 Zell, 1 Irvine, 2 other Squalls (1 sucked, 1 rocked), 2 Soras, 1 Ultiemicia, 1 Aeris, 1 Cloud, 1 Sephiroth, 1 Vincent, 1 Selphie, and 1 Rinoa.
When I saw the Rinoa, I ran up to her and threw my arms around her. I think I scared her, since she went "Eep!" and tensed up. Hmph, guess I was out of character?
Selphie, Zell, and Irvine were all really nice to me. We hung out a bit. I took yaoi pics with the men (who were both actually girls *snicker*). I saw Selphie and Irvine later at the Karaoke, and Zell was at Yaoi Night.
Ultimecia was a really well done one, and boy, did she have a since of humor. The moment she saw me, she started cackling and flicking her fingers at me, calling "Fall to the Power of my Song, Seed!" and such. I covered my ears and ran around the Artist Alley with her chasing me, going "LALALA, CAN'T HEAR YOU, LALALA" She and I had lots of fun, and did a few poses for picture takers.
I also had a great time with one of the Soras. She and I took some yaoi pics (odd, but fun) and had an overall good time.
I ran into the good other Squall later on, just as she was joining a large group of Final Fantasy people. I joined in too, and we all hung around one area letting people come up and take pics of us. The other Squall had a really nice gunblade. I was rather jealous, but she let me hold it a bit.
A strange thing happened to me. During a Making Manga panel, the stranger next to me suddenly slid a paper over to me. She had drawn me a pic of a Chibi Squall! So CUTE!
The strange part was that I saw this girl later on. She was leading a goth neko-boy around by a leash and ordering him to challenge people to races. She invited me along, and I saw a most amusing footrace between the neko and a monk. I was also invited to play with the neko-boy's nipples, which I politely did.
I stayed up a little too late, and soon I was desperate to get some sleep. I stumbled about looking for the way out (and having two people giggle and say "Look, Squall's in character!" at me). I seriously couldn't find the exit. Soon I learned that the way I had come from the hotel was now shut off, and I was fully ready to just plop down in a chair and nod off. Luckilly, I ran into a nice policeman after accidently stumbling my way far from the con area (into a connected minimall, actually). He panicked when he saw me and ordered me to come with him, which I did obediantly (I was too tired to be scared). He escorted me to the infirmary to have my "scar" taken care of, assuming I was drunk or something (I hadn't had any sleep the previous night. When I'm that tired, I get weird). I wasn't quite sure what was happening until a nurse came and wiped off the "blood" and realized it was fake. They then realized I must be one of the weirdos wandering about, and helpfully pointed me to the way back to the hotel.

Sunday - I must have slept in my costume, because I woke up with it on. I headed down to get a breakfast buffet and then headed over to the con again. I mostly hung out with my friends that day, shopping in the Dealers Room (Bought two yaoi mangas, a pack of FFX-2 cards, some pins, some pocky, and a Megatokyo t-shirt), watching AMVs, and watching shows. I saw Hack/Sign for the first time, which was exactly my type of humor. Great stuff.    The day went by pretty quickly, and soon it was time to go. The last picture I had taken of me was two minutes before I walked out the door.

Final Review: I had a wonderful time. I enjoyed having pics taken of me, which has never happened before, since this was my first costume ever. By the end of the con my knees and heels were stinging brutally, but I didn't realize how extensive the damage was until I took off my costume and discovered that both knees and heels were bleeding profusely. Jeez, no wonder I couldn't dance.
What really bugs me is that I lost one of my leather gloves somewhere. They were nice gloves.

Next Year: I'll be going as Irvine, so all you ladies, watch out! Mike is going with me and will be Squall. He is a really good Squall. Hot. Even I want to jump him, and I'm a lesbian. We've got some ideas for little skits which we will be acting out in the halls.
