Captain's
Guidelines for Bouts
1) The bout captain should check the calendar fifteen minutes prior to the bout for the latest roster.
2) After entering the Team room, type the /al command - this will record the events of the bout in the acrolog.txt file on your hard disk.
3) Confirm the rules for the bout with the opposing team's captain.
4) Contact any missing *CR* player by ICQ five minutes prior to the bout. If the player hasn't responded by five minutes after the start time, contact the backup players, then other *CR* members online, until you have a full roster.
5) No more than two non-*CR* subs may be used in a bout. It's not fair to the opposing team to represent the *CR* clan if less than two-thirds of the team is not composed of *CR* clan members. If less than five *CR* members show up to play, the bout captain can choose to play with less than a full team, or advise the opposing captain that the bout is cancelled. If the bout captain chooses to play with less than a full team, at least two-thirds of the bout team must be active *CR* members.
6) If a non-team member (NTM) enters the room, politely inform him that he is in a private clan room, and ask if he would please find another room. If the NTM does not leave, or becomes rude or abrasive, inform the players to "proceed, please", then use the /complain command with the reason of "NTM". This should boot the NTM.
7) After the face-off scores are displayed, use the /stat command. This will put all of the winning acros into the log file.
8) Make sure to record Hall of Fame acros (11 points minimum) and the votes they get. Screen shots are a great way to do this. There are many tools for making screen captures easier, such as FullShot.
9) After the bout is over, you need to report the "Most Fun Team" rating for the opponents at the TA website. We are listed as Couch Rules Clan.
10) As soon as possible, you need to post a bout report on the *CR* Bout Reports message board. Include, at the very least, the players, the outcome of each game, and the winning *CR* acros.
11) Lastly, you need to fill out the Match Report form. This will ensure that the results of the match are posted on the Match Results page.
