Super12 2002 - Round One
Given the paucity of quality pre-season matches this year, it is difficult to read too much into performances thus far this year. We will know a bit more in a week's time. Not the least how Wendell Sailor and Mat Rogers are progressing.
Chiefs v Waratahs
The Chiefs, along with the Sharks, were the surprise packet of last year's competition. They have a fast, talented backline, and an effective back row. On paper, and on their day, I believe the Waratahs are the more talented side. But as they have yet to settle on a starting XV, the Waratahs are just as capable of producing a truly miserable performance. My head says that the Chiefs should be a little too disciplined at home. But my heart says the Waratahs, and it's early enough in the season for me to be stupid enough to go with my heart.

Brumbies v Reds
The Brumbies started last season on fire, and the Reds traditionally take some time to build momentum. Reading just a little into pre-season form, and given the fact that the Brumbies are playing at home, the Brumbies should run away with this one.
