Imagine, if you will, that 1 hold a diamond in my hand that is the size of a football. All of us are gathered in a circle and I ask for all to look upon the diamond; we all see it and agree that it is the same diamond, even thought we are all seeing it differently due to the many facets (or 'faces') that it possesses.
Now, imagine that GOD is that diamond and i ask for all to look upon Him... we all see Him and agree that this is GOD. However, due to the many religions (or 'faces') we all see Him differently. Metaphoricaly, God is like the diamond: perfect in every way, setting higher than any other in it's class (the diamond as to all other gems, and GOD as to all other spiritual beings), and has many ways to be viewed upon.
My theory, if viewed with an open mind, suggests there is no wrong religion and that all religions (no matter how different) are right. You may say there is too much variation between beliefs for tis to be true, but I propose that each 'face' has a different purpose for each religion to carry out. A Mormon friend once told me his purpose was to spread 'The Word'. Being a Druid, mine is to keep nature in balance and thriving in peace (this includes man-kind as well). Without Druids, there might not be anyone to spread 'The Word' to; and without Mormons, there might not be a 'Word' to spread. We all have different purposes while we're down here... but they all tie together and keep things going on the right course.
In closing, I ask this favor of you: The next time you seek enlightenment from you deity, come look at the 'Diamond' from where I stand: underneath, where it forms the point...
