| From the Emmanuel Presbyterian Women's cookbook - circa. about 1964 - and shared by our friends Charlie Marie Olson and E.J. Greger. Spread two cans of cherry pie filling into a 9x13 inch pan. Over the top, sprinkle one package of yellow cake mix. Do not add eggs or water to the mix. Sprinkle 1 cup nuts over the top, and melt cube of butter and drizzle that over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream. |
