iBecause today is April Fool's Day - I am going to repeat a  recipe we had on the web site for April 2004.
This recipe belongs to Donna McKie.

1000 Bluebirds of Happiness Pie
Step one: Take 200,000 bowls of rice.
Step two: Take 200,000 fish heads (when available)
Step three: Garnish with 200,000 radishes

This is an authentic Red Chinese dish.  When cooking for one, divided by 200,000.

Back  in 2001 we promised more information on Bee Skeps - maybe next month ?

We  have  two interesting calendars for 2006.

Friend Nancy Thorton gave us "A Celebration of Oregon's  Agriculture Calendar"  -  It is a wonderful calendar.  The art work for this calendar was selected from over 2000 entries submitted by students from grades 1 through 6.

The other calendar is also great.  It is an  x-rated calendar from nephew Denny Schmidt!

Last month when we praised Moonstruck Chocolates I forgot to tell you that there were Moonstruck Truffles in the 'Oscar' gift bags last year.  George Clooney's Oscar Gift Bag was recently auctioned on Line and raise $45,000 for the United Way's Hurricane Response and Recovery Fund.

Last Sunday, March 26, we helped friends celebrate special milestones in the lives.  A "Surprise" party for Donna McKie was a big surprise.  And, Luther Kurtz
celebrated a birthday and retirement.
