I am a professor in the Morrison School of
Management at
Data mining tools and applications are becoming
more available for business usage. Specific applications apply to many of the
functional areas of business such as marketing, management, finance and
accounting. This survey has been designed to determine the readiness and
potential shortcomings that need to be addressed to understand the current use
of data mining tools applications and software. This survey is targeted towards
information systems professionals who have a certain familiarity with data
mining business applications. T he survey will be web based and will use
publicly available lists of IS professionals.
I am
requesting your participation which will involve approximately 10 minutes. Your
participation in this project is completely voluntary. If you choose to

being collected. You may withdraw from answering any particular question as you
