Why are there 7 notes in music?
Here, we do not provide any grounding, nor do we compare other viewpoints and approaches (kindly note that this is not due to any lack of respect). What's more, we do not always use the exact meaning of terms. The information you will find below is just a simple and very brief summary of a single point: the principle of formation of a set of sounds, changes and combinations of which sounds our human is able to perceive as music. A specialist will understand better what has been omitted here. I would also like note that this principle has been disclosed in my thesis written in the Odessa Conservatoire in 1986, and later published in the article "Principles of the organization of sound systems (in the book "Musical thinking: essence, categories, aspects of research", Kyiv, "Muzichna Ukrajina" 1989, p. 163-168).
