This poem is written from the point of view of Honey. She and Brian are married blissfully but all the  same Brian is unsure about Honey’s love. He’s afraid he isn’t worth the wonderful woman on his side and she deserves someone  better than him.

A little note on his pillow…

I come home, late at night.

He still is waiting, a candle his only dim light.

I see his tired eyes, but still he waits

To let me know, we are forever soulmates.

O love, when will you see?

You’re the only one for me!

He draws near, his hands soft and warm,

His tender touches give his devotion form.

And I can feel his true, endless love,

While the stars shine brightly up above.

O love, when will you see?

You’re the only one for me!

He asks me to talk about my day

Although I know – his one was hard the same way.

He smiles, enjoying every word from me.

And I know – my paradise has become reality.

O love, when will you see?

You’re the only one for me!

So I write this, my testament for you.

As a proof of my love, so honest and true.

Because everytime I look into your warm eyes

I see you are the man who can make my sun rise.

And I hope one day you will see:

Love, you are the only one for me

Believe me, you will always  be…

In everlasting love,

Honey

This one is a poem by Diana. The  setting is she and Mart are at a party and

Mart converses with their friends while  she is there without even being recognized.

Please change the look in your eyes

You still talk, whole conversation is just between you and them.

I want to walk – walk away from the shame.

Did you ever think about that it could perhaps hurt me

If you think me a only a hanger-on to be…?

Please change the look in your eyes…

Can’t you see that my heart dies?

Perhaps there’s more behind

Than what you can see in my mind –

Perhaps I can feel and think just as you.

I remember so many times when you were defending me.

But perhaps I am old enough to look after myself, dear Marty.

I’m not a girl who can’t do anything her own –

I can talk, I can work, I can think, I can be alone.

I don’t need a watchdog taking care of me.

The only thing I want is myself to be.

Please change the look in your eyes.

Can’t you see that my heart dies?

Perhaps there’s more behind

Than what you can see in my mind –

Perhaps I can feel and think just as you.

You can’t see my tears coming at night –

For you I’m shining the day, laughing and bright.

You’ll never see I’m not only the pretty rich Di.

But I have a personality too. And your ignorance makes me cry…

Will you ever be able to see I have an intellect, too?

No, you won’t. The only intelligent one in this house is you.

Can you change the look in your eyes?

Can you ever see that my heart dies?

Will you ever understand there’s more behind

Than what you so far saw in my mind?

I can feel and think just as you.

I can, I could, I will always do.

Diana

It always bothered me that Di was more like a laughing stock than like a person with feelings and the ability to think. I can’t believe a stupid unworldly girl would be so good in dramas, would have more a less good marks or would be so help ful and friendly. I can’t believe such a girl would be a Bob-White. I think she is able to think rationally just as the other Bob-Whites, too.
