| Drew's musical journey started at the tender age of 8, when he picked up his first pair of drum sticks. His first beats were taught by his father, a long time drummer and musician. But mostly, he is self-taught and still rocks the skins to this day. When about 12 years old, he took up guitar and took private lessons at a small music store in Richmond, MI. There, he was in his first band, a student band with no name. He took his comfortable position behind the drums and played only covers at recitals. Since then, he has left lessons and played in and out of bands with some locals. With little success and drive he left the band scene and continued with solo music projects. He strived to play with a band though. On an occasional basis, he would jam with Austin, Dula, and Zabel. Later he was invited into Cost Of Desire, not as guitarist or drummer, but as a bass player in which he picked up only a year earlier. Drew is currently back at Oakland University roaming around, writing music, and just having a good time with new and old friends. He hopes to see everyone this summer when Cost of Desire resumes playing live events. |
