Basically, all you really need to know is he has three patterns in his attacks. One you can easily find a gap and jump through it. Another all you have to do is slide under it. The third ones tricky..you have to slide and jump fairly quickly to avoid being hit. If you arent really good I guess you could just run straight into the attack to take the hit and bombard him up close with the leaf sheild, it barely takes any time to kill him.
