What a day!
dk and I went to Home Outfitters today to buy slippers and shower curtains for our new condo. One thing led to another and we ended up piling our shopping cart with stuff that were 'dire necessities.'
We ended up buying towels, knives, spice rack, a 66-piece dinnerware set, a toaster, garbage cans, kitchenware, bath mats, shower curtains, and the list goes on.
Fortunately we found out that if we signed up for an HBC Card we were able to get 10% off our entire purchase. Then there was a Mother's Day promotion that gave us another 10% off and we got 20% off for all our kitchenwares. So all in all we ended up saving over $250. Isn't that a sweet deal???
I felt like a little kid in a candy store when I was picking out all the stuff.

In another note, tomorrow I am leaving for Niagara Falls for a work-related strategy session.
It sucks that we have to go on Mother's Day, but it will be good to get to know what Canadian Family Magazine is all about.
