Dorothy Bartell was raised in an orphange in Owosso, Michigan.A place called Dorcas home. She lived there with her brother Stan and a sister named Nancy ( though Nancy is not Fred's daughter).Occansionally she would go back to her mothers but then they found them living in a car and would take her back to the home.In her teenage years she moved in with her Grandparents.

Funeral services will be held monday at 1 p.m.from Jennings-lyons Chapel, Owosso, for Dorothy M. Schultz, 2627 W. M-21, who died Friday morning at her home. Robert L. Girdwood will officiate the service and buriel at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Schultz was born in Owosso on September 14, 1927, the daughter of Fred and Marguerite (Rogers) Bartell. She was an Owosso high school and had resided all of her life in the Owosso area. On April 26, 1946, she and Robert R. Shultz were married in Owosso. She attended Grace Bible Church. She had been employed throughout her life in the secretarial field. Mrs. Schultz is survived by her Husband: a son named Gary of Howell: three daughters Kathy Wardman, Micki kiss, and Jane Garrison, all of Owosso; a Brother, Lawrence Sloat of Lennon , a sister Nancy Jones of Bakersfield, California; and Nine grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Stan Bartell, a daughter Carol Oakes, and a grandson Todd Oakes.

Carol Schultz was in a car accident that killed herself, her husband (Roy Oaks), and thier 3 month old son Todd on Bennington rd. in Owosso, Michigan
