1/3/06: Rockin the Big Smoke

The Cosmic Debre boys have relocated to Melbourne much to the despite of groupies and fans alike. They're currently in search bigger opportunities and a dedicated drummer, but this also means big news. They'll be recording their debut album, currently untitled. The LP will include classics such as Halloween Harry, Rock Steady and Poison Ivy. Current album Bsides will include Spicy Kebabs and Gettin' Married Tomorrow. Though a heap of new material is currently in the works as Julz is pumping 'em out like a rabbit on heat. Nidis and Ben have been preoccupied with a new found taste for indian food, education and groupies.

21/12/05: Merry Christmas from Cosmic Debre

The final sellout show from the Cosmic Reunion tour shook the estate from Ben Lines Garage. Film was recorded for an upcoming DVD to be released at a later date. The concert provided the biggest turnout ever for a Cosmic Debre concert, with the estate showing up either to listen or complain. Despite light malfunction with tech problems on the smoke machine, the gig was a total success with the boys proving themselves the next big name in Classic Rock. 2/9/05: Maelstrom

Cosmic Debre has finally recruited a drummer, Casey Scott. The gig last week was so awesome that it escalated into a full scale riot. In other words, we got a good turn out and played an awesome show with Drudish (no I havent seen a Clockwork Orange, but i've heard good things). We played alongside DJ Time Master, who'd probably seen more gigs than we ever will. We played a set of around 5 songs, and we got a good response from Halloween Harry.

26/8/05: The sparks will fly

After three weeks of inactivity, the future of Cosmic Debre was in serious question. But in a snap decision the band has turned around and is now lined up to play at the Kialla Clubrooms this friday, 26th of august. If you happen to see this page in the next 3 hours, then make sure you get a space, this one will sell out fast.

Also, Spaceman Bob has gone completely free of torture for the past three weeks. All this basically means is that they'll be harrassed to the point of considering moving house now.

5/8/05: Megashredder out for the week

Ben Line wasnt at practise this week, attending an 18th. The Devils Game was the only song worked on, more attention was focused on harrassing people. Its possibly going to be recorded very soon.

It seems 'My Life' may be receiving yet another overhaul. After decisions to abandon the songs current style once again, it might be heading in a slightly heavier direction instead of being so light.

29/7/05: Halloween Harry Recorded

We recorded our first song on Friday night, Halloween Harry. There were a few complications with timing and our producer not knowing how to work the equipment, but we finally got it done. I guess this is our first real step towards making a debut album.

Latest brain child "The Devils Game" is now in the works, its an acoustic track with heavy classical and Yngwie Malmsteen influence. Of course, not skill wise, it just sounds similar.

The search for a drummer continues; we're placing an ad in the paper and we'll be putting flyers up around some of the music shops in town. You can see the flyer online here.

In other news, Spaceman Bob copped more turbulence just because we hate them. Why do we even hate them? They just want to play music like us! Oh well, they'll pay for it. With their lives.

22/7/05: 'My Life' finds new meaning

The original heartfelt melody has received a Pink Floyd make over, and its more sounding like something off Dark Side of the Moon than anything else. Ben Megashredder Line has pulled out all stops on the effects box and Muse will definately be pissing themselves.

Spaceman Bob again received their comeuppin's in the form of a rock shower. Who knows, perhaps they like being shot with high powered mexican sling shots, who am I to say?

15/7/05: Julzman summons the Reaper... of ROCK THAT IS.

Local vocalist Julian J Julzman Mauger has churned out another set of metal lyrics. The Reaper (Of Rock) will be made into a metal song along the lines of influence such as Iron Maiden and Helloween.

Also, Julian managed to smash (or thoroughly crack) one of Spaceman Bobs windows. See this is why we do it, that'll teach them to play music.

8/7/05: Make Way For Willah!

During practise Cosmic Debre was interrupted by a set of nearby wailing bagpipes. So in natural Cosmic Debre fashion they dealt with him the only way they know how, overly loud verbal abuse. There have been no reports of bagpipes since.

Julian J Mauger managed to suss out some new ammunition this week for the war against Spaceman Bob, a large piece of Nutloaf. Now, for most people, you'd think that would be enough, hell most people would probably actually eat it instead, but not for Cosmic. It was drenched in tomato sauce and lobbed precisely at their window. They'll think twice before trying anything else after that one.
