Band History
Ah band history, where do I start? I suppose you could trace the band back to an ordinary autumn morning, when one Julian Mauger proposed the idea of a Frank Zappa cover band to one bassist Lucas Hehir. We both knew guitarist and chef Ben Line and well, it kind of snowballed from there. We ditched the idea of a Frank Zappa cover band in the prospect that we wanted to play originals and cover other material, but we still kept the name Cosmic Debre as a tribute to Zappa. And no, its spelt the right way, everyone else spells it wrong. However the idea of a name change had always been in the cards, but we're yet to find that one kick-ass unused band name that no ones thought of yet.
We've faced a fair few complications in our short first few months of playing. Of course theres the unwritten warfare with Lucas's neighbour/archnemesis rival band Spaceman Bob (or so we've named them), we're still without a drummer and like in all bands theres a severe case of conflict of interest. We're currently still practising before playing live so we can put on an awesome show, but we've heard good things and plenty of abuse from those that have heard us. We're up to our third song in production, The Devils Game and its shaping up to be the acoustic track of the bunch.
