I have many favorite flowers.
The Tulip is a symbol of life, love and immortality, actually dates back to the time of Confucius. By the late 1600’s in Holland, bulb prices often exceeded the price of precious metals. A single bulb is said to have sold for more that $2,000. To this day we use and set them out for all to see during th Spring and especially during Easter.

The Lily is a striking trumpet-shaped flowers that are one of the oldest known to man and are thought to have originated in the Orient. Throughout the ages, they have been wildly popular. We usually mix them with other magnificent flowers to creat the most beautiful bouquet.

The Daisy is a lively, festive flower originated in Africa and are now commonly put in beautiful arrays of cheerful colors. Daisies come in all colors you could possibly think of, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, and many more!

The Black-Eyed Susan has been the official Maryland flower since 1918 when it was designated the "Floral Emblem" of Maryland by the General Assembly. The Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus(1701-1778) described and named the flower after Olav Rudbeck and his son, both professors at the University of Uppsala, and from the Latin meaning "rough hairy". Black-Eyed Susans are daisies or coneflowers, members of the sunflower family. The flower heads measure 2 to 3 inches in diameter with yellow rays circling a dark-brown, center. It's commonly found in fields and on roadsides, they bloom between May and August, reaching 2 to 3 feet in height. They are native to the United States, east of the Rocky Mountains.
