Change the world

There are so many awards out there for sites that have good graphics, or are funny, or really weird or provide potentially useless information. What I want is sites that do a little bit more. I want sites from people who want to change the world for the better. Therse are people who provide pages about peace and jusice, about civil rights or animal rights or gay rights or women's rights or fetus rights, on consumerism, The Burning Times, the list goes on and on...

The site either has to present infomation to dispell myths or make you think OR provide infomation about what one can do to help when they're not sitting in cyberspace. Of course this includes on-line petitions, mailing campaigns, phone campaigns, and live protests, etc. Even if you just have a few essays that might make one look at an issue from a different point of view, you could qualify.

This is for personal pages only, I want to recognize people, not organizations. Great organizations I honor by links, and they would not need this award anyway. Even if I don't agree with you, I will consider the site equally, based on the information you provide and how well you argue your case. And if anyone gives me a New Isuue (which I add to my repetoire constantly) or changes my POV, They will get a special award that I will make up just as soon as I find one!

I still have to and fine-tune the award, but for now just send me the URL. No need to summerize or tell me why the page is great, I want to see that for myself.

Jule's Page for CancerKids

t's a great page about a girl coping with cancer, and offers hope and solidarity to others facing the same difficulty. It is both touching and informative and I'm proud to call it my first winner of the Golden Apple Award. Since Jule's passing, her parents have added a touching tribute to the strong girl who was, among many things, an inspiration .
