Unfortunately, with a family this size, the news is not always good or happy
news.
Just two weeks ago (as I write this), we marked the passing of a man who
had been in our family for some 46 years and was active in family activities,
had been looking forward to the reunion, but became ill and was unable to join
us. Harry Hansen, Sr, (husband of Penny Prusha, daughter of Rose Cosentino)
died of congestive heart failure April 21, at home in Carter Lake, Iowa, and was laid to rest on Monday, April 26 at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, after a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Carter Lake. Harry was
preceded in death by a son, Harry, Jr. and grandson, Cody Bequette. Besides his wife of 45+ years, Rosemary "Penny" Hansen, Harry is survived by his sons, Joseph (Shelly), Andrew (Wanda), Michael, and daughters Laura (Todd), Barbara
(Steve), 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a brother and sister.
Our family is so spread out, covering the entire width of the United States from Calif/Oregon to Virginia and Illinois/Nebraska to Texas, I thought it would be nice to share news, not just at the holidays, which a lot of us do, but all the time.
