Waves
Sitting here by myself in the mist
Listening as the rocks get kissed
Watching the waves slam upon the stone
Admiring the shapes the sea does hone
The waves rolling and crashing
Against the rock they are thrashing
My face feeling the spray
All the sounds fade away
My thoughts set sail
The sky starts to pale
I stare out into the sea
Watch the waves roll beneath me
My thoughts cast to my existance
Thoughts that linger, ever persistant
I'm struck by this symbol of the sea
This simple metaphor before me
The rocks are the people I see
The waves, well those must be me
