From the Cutting Room Floor Cut Scenes From Cruel Intentions Include: - One of the most famous cut scenes involved Sebastian and the cheerleaders. While talking on the phone with Annette there are two naked cheerleaders rubbing oil on each other. One of the girls is Alisha Klass an adult film actress. The scene was cut to make Sebastian appear more sincere and to keep it from getting a NC-17 rating.
- The Sebastian blackmailing Greg scene was originally a lot longer. In the cut scene Sebastian was even crueler (making Greg think he had to give him a blow job only to laugh in his face) but the studio thought it went too far.

- A scene at the estate between Annette and Sebastian was cut. Annette is jogging when Sebastian comes up to her in a gulf cart and proceeds to hit on her prompting her to ask him to leave. The scene was cut for time. - A small scene was cut between Cecil and Sebastian. Cecil is in the bathtub when Sebastian comes in and she asks him to join her. This was also cut for time. - Kathryn telling Ronald about Sebastian hitting her and screwing Cecil was cut from the film.
- Many scenes were cut or shot differently in order to make Sebastian more likable. An important scene (and in my opinion one of the best) was shortened for this reason. In the original final showdown between Kathryn and Sebastian, after Kathryn's speech Sebastian hit her. Kathryn then tried to hit him back and they end up fighting on the floor (I wrote a fan fic about what I think should of happened next called The Missing Scene). When they get up Sebastian orders her to get her ass in the bed and when she refuses he declares war.

Sebastian's Journal - The quote above the picture of a sleeping Kathryn says: "A night-mare is fed before it is born" - The page before it features a picture of Kathryn with these words framing it: My Love, Coke Problem, Deceitful, Bulimic, Promiscuous, Liar, Alcoholic - On the page across from it Sebastian describes Kathryn. This is partially what it says: There has never been a single person in history as two faced as Kathryn. Stunning to look at and exciting to be near and cold as ice. She cares about absolutely no one but herself. This girl has brought self-absorption to an art form. She believes in nothing and laughs in the face of sadness, faith, and sincerity. A person observing her and having seen the damage she's done to so many lives would most likely classify her as evil. She scoffs at any and every type of religion all the while manipulating others by using the idea of being religious to her advantage. She'll steal mentally and emotionally from anyone who crosses her path, spends night after night in drunken, drug-induced debauchery but lives the other life as the consummate angel. She is in a sense brilliant as evidence by the fact that she has indeed completely fooled every person she has ever had to except me. In fact we are very similar people.
The Edited Cruel Intentions The network television premiere of Cruel Intentions was on March 19 2002. Movies that premiere on cable are generally edited for content (i.e. sex, violence, language) and time. Some of the differences between the film version and the unedited version are: - Marci's naked Internet picture is blurred as is the word slut. - Dr. Greenbaum threatens to have Sebastian arrested.
- When Kathryn and Sebastian say good-bye to Mrs. Caldwell and Cecil it's shot differently. - Kathryn is never shown snorting coke. - Court's scene is shot wider so no blow job is implied. - Kathryn and Sebastian's almost kiss is shot differently. It shows more of Sebastian walking towards Kathryn instead of her rubbing herself. - Kathryn's line is reduced to "anywhere."
- The first scene with Blain is cut down. - A strange shot of Manchester prep (looks like it's from a T.V. show) is shown in between Blain and Greg's phone call. - The kiss between Cecil and Kathryn is kept in tact.

- The shopping scene with Mrs. Caldwell and Kathryn is extended: A cashier comes over to them Kathryn: I'll take it Cashier: Great will that be cash or charge? Kathryn: (looking in her purse) oh poo I left my wallet at home. Mrs. Caldwell: Let me get that Kathryn: Oh I couldn't let you do that Mrs. Caldwell: It's the least I can do (hands the cashier card) Kathryn: Thanks you (after a beat she gives her a concerned look) I'm so sorry. - Cecil's description of her orgasm is cut out.

- Sebastian and Cecil's post sex scene at the estate is cut all together from this version. - After Sebastian interrupts Ronald and Kathryn instead of ducking her head down to offer Sebastian a blow job Kathryn pulls the straps of her nightgown down. Sebastian then turns around, pulls them back up, and turns her down. - Sebastian getting hit by the car is edited.
